Our Mission
The primary mission of the ALA Library is to assist the staff of the American Library Association in serving the needs of its members, and thereafter, the needs of other libraries, and general public within the scope of its collection. It is a small special library with a collection that focuses primarily on the history of and issues within libraries, and on the professional development of the library workforce, plus material on general and association management. The Library's staff will respond to reference and information requests in accordance with this mission and collection scope.
